Summary

I have been CTO of a major crypto currency wallet for several years with users collectively holding billions of dollars of funds in self-custody.

I have designed and launched two smart contract blockchains: Evernode and Xahau. These include a bespoke web assembly-based smart contract engine called Hooks (for Xahau) and a bespoke byzantine fault tolerant consensus engine called HotPocket for synchronizing POSIX applications "blockchain as an operating system" (for Evernode.)

I have deep and extensive experience writing low level C code and modern clean C++. I live in the bits and bytes, where I write bloat-free library-free (where possible) code that uses the lowest possible level in the stack with the smallest footprint for upstream "supply chain" vulnerabilities. I write custom networking protocols as needed to achieve the best outcome for P2P and mesh networks.

My coding experience is not limited to these areas. I have also designed full stack applications and websites, including using conventional and distributed SQL databases.

I have degrees in Software Engineering and Physics from the University of Queensland. I live in Australia.

I will only consider fully remote positions as I have young children and a family to care for.
