Summary

We're looking for a Staff iOS Engineer to join OpenSea to shape the mobile experience for millions of users discovering and trading digital assets. Mobile is critical to to our next phase of growth, and this role will level up our investment & expertise in delivering world-class iOS experiences.

You will own iOS development end-to-end: from architecture and feature development to performance optimization and AI-assisted tooling, building the mobile gateway that brings users onchain.

Responsibilities

1. Take a major role in the design & development of the OpenSea iOS app, driving a modern, scalable, and maintainable codebase primarily built with SwiftUI and MVVM architecture
2. Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build seamless, user-friendly mobile experiences for millions of users
3. Take ownership of features from conception through deployment
4. Contribute to the architecture and evolution of the mobile codebase, including cross-platform components where applicable
5. Integrate with GraphQL APIs and implement real-time data updates to deliver dynamic and responsive user interfaces
6. Advocate for and adopt AI-assisted development tools to accelerate productivity and improve code quality
7. Help shape the future direction of OpenSea's mobile platform by providing technical leadership and innovative solutions

Desired Experience

1. Deep expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with solid understanding of MVVM architecture and modern iOS frameworks
2. Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMP) and enthusiasm for contributing to cross-platform shared code
3. Solid understanding of developing API-driven mobile apps across REST & GraphQL.
4. Strong systems engineering skills and a generalist mindset to tackle both frontend and backend challenges within mobile development
5. Hands-on experience with real-time data updates and complex UI interactions
6. Proven track record of adopting and leveraging AI tools to accelerate development productivity
7. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on shipping polished features
8. Prior experience in fintech or crypto-related products preferred
9. High ownership mentality

The base salary for this full-time position in the United States, spanning multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $180,000 to $270,000 plus benefits & equity. Compensation for internationally based candidates will vary to reflect local market conditions.
