Job Description


Circle is seeking a creative and collaborative Senior Social Media Manager to play a key role in how we connect with our audience through organic social channels. Circle engages with a wide range of industry players on social media – from large enterprises to crypto-native developers, founders, traders, regulators, and everyday people using digital currency. Organic social is a critical medium for Circle to expand awareness, and you will help ignite our channels globally.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Marketing, you will help build and execute our social media strategy. You will be responsible for ideation, content development, and orchestration in collaboration with cross-functional team members across the company. 

What you will work on: 

  1. Lead all owned social media and content plans, prioritizing X, LinkedIn, and YouTube while continuously evaluating Circle’s brand presence on nascent or audience-specific platforms (i.e. Reddit, Warpcast).
  2. Develop and author a consistent stream of fresh, creative content that drives awareness, engages our audience, and encourages action. 
  3. Guide and oversee how we appear visually on social channels, driving engagement through socially-native content while ensuring strong brand alignment.
  4. Manage Circle’s social media roadmap, working cross-functionally for channel execution and editorial planning; serve as an advisor to other teams.
  5. Identify, develop, and optimize the role social plays in new product launches, country launches, growth initiatives, and brand campaigns.
  6. Support our emerging influencer marketing strategy to drive USDC awareness and brand engagement.
  7. Contribute meaningfully to the overall social media strategy – meeting marketing objectives and utilizing social channels to drive relevance and engagement.
  8. Manage external resources as needed, including social freelancers or agencies.
  9. Measure, analyze, and report on the results of organic social initiatives.
  10. Research social trends and regularly test new concepts and content while utilizing business insights to inform your plans and continually optimize performance.

What you will bring to Circle: 

  1. Experience: You have 8+ years of relevant experience in any combination of: social media, Web3 marketing, content, social media analytics, B2B consumer finance.
  2. Expertise: You’re a true subject matter expert in organic social and content. You have an understanding of consumer finance, Web3, and digital currency.
  3. Communication: You’re a world-class communicator – including presentation and writing skills, with the ability to flex into copywriting when needed. 

Management: You have experience recruiting and managing external resources to scale your work, including freelancers, contractors, and agencies. 

  1. Organization: You’re a self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and consistently drives radical clarity around narrative, goals, and timelines.
  2. Willingness to Learn: You’re a natural researcher with an appetite for learning about the future of digital currency and blockchain.
  3. Tech Savvy: You have experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, GSuite, Hubspot, and analytics tools.

Additional Information:

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range:

$160,000 - $207,500

Annual Bonus Target: 17.5%
