Summary
We're looking for a Senior QA Manager to lead our Release Quality team, responsible for ensuring confidence in every release of both Cash App and Afterpay—two products serving millions of customers worldwide. This team plays a critical role as product quality experts and trusted partners to engineering, product, design, and operations. The Senior QA Manager will guide the modernization of our quality assurance strategy, evolve our release management practices, and set the long-term direction for how we measure and deliver release confidence at scale.

You Will
- Execute a compelling vision and long-term strategy for release quality that emphasizes scalability, sustainability, and modern QA practices
- Collaborate and build long-term strategic partnerships with multiple stakeholders across the company including product, design, legal, support, and engineering teams
- Define, track, and report on release health metrics, using them to drive continuous improvements
- Cultivate an excellent organization by hiring remarkable talent, coaching your team, fostering principled and collaborative decision-making, and applying your expertise to maintain a high bar
- Be the release manager for both Cash App and Afterpay, overseeing all release train processes including hotfixes, progressive rollouts, and communication
- Guide, organize, and communicate the team's quarterly goals and accomplishments
- Mentor QA engineers and help cultivate their career aspirations
You Have
- 12+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 4+ years in a management or leadership role
- Proven success leading QA teams supporting large-scale mobile applications
- Experience with release management processes and best practices
- Experience coordinating complex testing and release efforts across multiple organizations from start to finish with collaboration, communication, and accountability
- A track record of building sustainable processes and driving organizational change

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
