Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team. You will be responsible for managing core accounting functions including accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and maintaining critical month-end schedules. Additionally, you will lead process improvements, work collaboratively across teams, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. What You Will Do
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Own the full AP and AR cycle, including coding invoices, processing payments, and resolving issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.
- Credit Card and Bank Management:
- Manage coding of credit card transactions and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Record all cash receipts and disbursements daily.
- Maintain supporting documentation and ensure policy compliance.
- Month-End Close:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain general ledgers & trial balances.
- Maintain and reconcile month-end schedules such as fixed assets, prepaids, and other general ledger accounts.
- Assist in tracking and evaluating cost variances.
- Manage cryptocurrency accounting and reconciliations, including tracking digital asset transactions and valuations, while leveraging web-based tools and blockchain explorers to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Beyond the Books: Projects & Compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment on strategic business initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with state-specific reporting requirements and presence (nexus) rules, including the preparation and filing of multi-state tax reports and related documentation.
- Assist with other projects/analyses as needed, beyond the core responsibilities outlined above.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for vendor and cross-functional interaction.
- Prior experience with crypto accounting is preferred but not required, an eagerness to learn and adapt is essential.
The target salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000. The target salary range for this role is $220,000–$260,000 USD. The listed range reflects compensation for candidates located in U.S. Tier 1 markets and may vary depending on your location. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
