Are you passionate about building a People & Culture function and creating meaningful employee experiences in a fast-growing company? We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist who will play a pivotal role in building a strong HR foundation in our new Malaysia office and help drive regional initiatives across 15+ countries.

In this role, you will oversee the People team locally — from onboarding to employee relations and payroll — while also shaping global HR initiatives and projects to create impact at a global scale.

Responsibilities

  1. Onboarding & Offboarding:
  2. Create unforgettable first and last impressions.
  3. Lead seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees and contractors.
  4. Employee Engagement & Culture:
  5. Run eNPS surveys, turn insights into action, and help shape a great workplace.
  6. Organize fun and meaningful events — from monthly events to the year-end celebration.
  7. Policy & Compliance:
  8. Maintain and update Employee and Contractor Handbooks.
  9. Manage HRIS records, payroll, leave, and visa processes.
  10. Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and reporting (e.g., MOHR).
  11. Performance & Compensation:
  12. Ensure accurate and timely payroll and reimbursement processing for employees and contractors.
  13. Oversee leave and attendance management, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and company policies.
  14. Coordinate performance reviews and promotion processes.
  15. Workplace Operations:
  16. Manage office seating and workspace arrangements to create an efficient and comfortable environment.
  17. Provide support on ad hoc office management projects and handle general administrative tasks as required.
  18. Regional Projects
  19. Lead and contribute to global HR initiatives that shape how we work across 15+ countries—from building policies to improving processes and employee experience.
  20. Employee Relations:
  21. Act as the first point of contact for HR queries.
  22. Handle grievances and disciplinary cases fairly.
  23. Build trust by resolving issues with empathy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of HR experience with strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws.
  2. Experience with payroll, HRIS systems, and employment passes.
  3. Strong people skills—you build trust and relationships easily.
  4. Proactive, resourceful, and excited about making HR more than just operations.
  5. A love for problem-solving and working in fast-moving environments.

Preferred

  1. Crypto/fintech experience is preferred.
