3. Find the right balance between progress (i.e. shipping quickly) and perfection (i.e. measuring twice).

Organizational Knowledge:

1. Work across multiple product lines such as Anchorage Digital Trading, Custody and our suite of API integrations.
2. Collaborate cross-functionally with everyone.
3. Help scale the team.

Communication and Influence:

1. Influence architecture/product roadmap - have a seat at the table.
2. Mentor and guide multiple engineers on the team within their area of specialization or domain, and help others understand the strategic goals of Anchorage Digital and how their work relates to these.

You may be a fit for this role, if you:

1. You have 8+ years of professional experience building API first backend services (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
2. You have experience designing, building and deploying cloud native micro-services.
3. You are passionate about building automated tests alongside your features.
4. You have real world experience building complex distributed systems.
5. You enjoy building services from scratch and supporting them over a meaningful period of time.
6. You have a genuine interest and pride in code quality and infrastructure.
7. You prioritize end-user experience and business value over “cool tech.”
8. You developed “computer science fundamentals”, i.e. algorithms, data structures and operating systems (Formal CS degree NOT required).
9. You self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action oriented, and tenacious.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

1. Professional experience with C++ or Go.
2. Professional experience with Kubernetes.
3. You have experience with system security (e.g. authentication, authorization, identity, API keys).
4. You have a background in the finance industry.
