The Role

As an Investment Specialist at Ramp, you’ll steward our treasury assets and strategic investments to maximize capital efficiency while ensuring security and compliance. You’ll pioneer yield-generating strategies in DeFi, evaluate token-based opportunities, and collaborate with finance/tech teams to build scalable cryptoasset management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio Strategy: Design & execute investment tactics for crypto/fiat treasury assets (stablecoins, altcoins, fiat reserves).
2. DeFi Innovation: Identify, assess, and implement yield opportunities across lending protocols, staking, liquidity provisioning, and restaking.
3. Risk Management: Monitor market/regulatory shifts, conduct stress tests, and enforce risk limits.
4. Tokenomics Analysis: Evaluate token investments, vesting schedules, and liquidity strategies for partner projects.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering (smart contract security), Finance (reporting), and Legal (compliance).
6. Market Intelligence: Track DeFi trends, protocol upgrades, and regulatory developments to inform strategy.

Requirements

1. 3+ years in asset management, treasury, or venture investing, with 1+ years focused on crypto/DeFi.
2. Technical Fluency: Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols (AAVE, Compound, Uniswap), multisig wallets (Safe), and blockchain analytics (Dune, Token Terminal).
3. Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in modeling investment scenarios, APY calculations, and risk metrics.
4. Web3 Passion: Deep understanding of blockchain ecosystems, token economics, and governance mechanisms.
5. Adaptability: Thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments typical of crypto startups.
6. Languages: English fluency (professional).

Nice-to-Haves

1. Experience managing >$10M portfolios.
2. Knowledge of custody solutions (Fireblocks, Copper) or on-chain monitoring tools (Chainalysis).
3. Programming/scripting skills (Python, R, Solidity).
