Summary

The Talent Acquisition team is responsible for the most strategic ingredient to our success – people. Our job is to build and execute a talent acquisition strategy that is inclusive, rigorous, and repeatable around the world.

We're looking for a seasoned, strategic Director of Talent Acquisition who has experience leading recruiters and sourcers at a global scale across both go-to-marketing and engineering hiring. You’ll work alongside leadership to set strategic direction and further refine the structure across our processes and our work. As a people-centered leader, you find success in empowering your team to do their best work, addressing challenges and roadblocks, and arriving at solutions that result in hiring great talent for Chainalysis.

In this role, you’ll:

  1. Lead our Talent Acquisition team worldwide, ensuring excellence from start to finish
  2. Bring passion for hiring across engineering, go-to-market, operational and executive roles, understanding the unique requirements of each and an ability to secure top talent
  3. Coach and manage our globally distributed team of experienced sourcers and recruiters, ensuring we have the right operating model in place
  4. Evolve and enhance our recruitment strategy, processes and plans, ensuring they match our goals to hire the best talent in the places we need them, in a way that is fair and efficient
  5. Partner with finance, HR and leadership on workforce planning and headcount prioritization
  6. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company, acting as a trusted advisor who can offer strategic insights and challenges when needed
  7. Create and use dashboards to track key recruiting metrics, helping us make smart, data-backed decisions
  8. Serve as a hands-on leader, jumping in to recruit or source yourself, leading by example and directly helping us find great talent
  9. Champion candidate experience, ensuring each candidate has a fantastic experience that truly reflects our company's mission and values
  10. Work closely with hiring managers to improve their hiring skills, provide market insights, and guide them through our structured hiring process

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  1. Proven track record of hiring top talent across global engineering, go-to-market, operational and executive roles, with a strong emphasis on technical roles
  2. A business-savvy mindset, quickly understanding company strategy and goals and translating them into actionable and effective hiring plans
  3. Experience in building and managing established, high-performing and collaborative global teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, and creating an environment where your team can continuously learn and grow
  4. Deep knowledge of the ins and outs of recruitment best practices across sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for both engineering and go-to-market organizations and the ability to build and implement effective hiring strategies
  5. A bias for action and the ability to drive consensus across a number of stakeholder teams within rapidly-changing environments
  6. Built strong relationships with senior executives and hiring managers, acting as a trusted partner and thought advisor as they build their organizations
  7. The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels; you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done, while remaining a collaborative team player
  8. Partnered closely with finance and HR to drive headcount planning and strategy
  9. A keen analytical mindset, with experience using data and metrics to spot trends, evaluate strategies, and make decisions that drive results
