Ramp is seeking a Federal Account Executive to drive our expansion across the U.S. federal government. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will own mission-critical federal opportunities, navigate complex procurement processes, and act as a trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders.

You’ll combine your deep understanding of federal acquisition lifecycles, compliance frameworks, and contracting vehicles with Ramp’s value proposition to deliver transformative outcomes for agencies. You will play a key role in shaping Ramp’s GTM strategy in this federal space.

Near-Term Goals

  1. Federal Growth Plan Execution – Take ownership of Ramp’s federal pipeline and drive near-term wins with key agencies.
  2. Complex Deal Leadership – Lead complex sales cycles end-to-end, from initial engagement through procurement and award.
  3. Market Insight Contribution – Provide real-time feedback from federal engagements to shape Ramp’s GTM positioning, compliance roadmap, and partner strategy.

What You’ll Do

  1. Own and manage Ramp’s largest and most strategic federal opportunities.
  2. Build and sustain senior-level relationships with agency executives, program managers, procurement officers, and contracting officials.
  3. Navigate complex federal procurement lifecycles
  4. Partner with federal system integrators, resellers, and channel partners to expand Ramp’s reach and accelerate adoption.
  5. Act as a federal SME within Ramp’s sales team — helping refine playbooks, messaging, and deal strategies.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, compliance, legal) to align Ramp’s offerings with federal requirements.
  7. Consistently exceed quota and growth targets, demonstrating expertise in managing long, complex deal cycles.
  8. Represent Ramp in federal forums, conferences, and agency briefings as a credible subject matter expert.

What You Need

  1. 6–10 years of quota-carrying sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding goals.
  2. Extensive experience selling into federal agencies with a proven ability to close complex, high-value deals.
  3. Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes, compliance frameworks, and contracting vehicles.
  4. Strategic, data-driven thinker capable of navigating ambiguity while delivering results.
  5. Experience in SaaS or high-growth technology environments preferred.
  6. Entrepreneurial drive and a self-starter mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, high-responsibility IC role.
