Summary

What you'll do

As a Staff engineer, you will:

1. Build and enhance MetaMask's Stablecoin / Earn feature strategy to create Neobank like experiences
2. Implement user-centric solutions across MetaMask Clients including Extension, Mobile, and Web
3. Contribute to backend APIs and middlewares that power these consumer experiences
4. Help create intuitive, efficient, and secure Web3 interactions that delight users
5. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features
6. Participate in code reviews and help maintain high code quality standards

Requirements:

1. 5+ years working with mobile-based technologies
2. 5+ years building websites and/or applications
3. Experience with React and React Native
4. Strong knowledge of modern Javascript (ES6/TypeScript/etc.)
5. Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and Web3 integration
6. Working knowledge of cross platform/browser compatibility
7. Experience working with APIs and middleware services
8. Experience working in an agile development team
9. Experience developing applications with clean code practices, testing, and adherence to coding standards
10. Understanding of web-based security considerations

Bonus Points:

1. Experience with Staking, lending protocol contracts, and events indexation
2. Experience with DeFi protocols, token swaps, or fiat on/off ramps
3. Knowledge of financial products in the digital space
4. Interest in blockchain technologies and Web3
5. Basic understanding of cryptography principles
6. Extensive AI Developer workflow experience
7. Experience working in distributed teams
8. Previous experience working in Web3
9. Familiarity with the Web3 wallet ecosystem
10. Experience with performance optimization

The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.

US pay range (not including bonus, equity or other benefits)
