At Robinhood, you will be building and owning certain backend services and infrastructure that power our core financial products. You will also gain a unique look into how the US financial systems works on the inside and strengthen your financial-domain knowledge.

As a Software Developer Co-Op on the Ops Platform team at Robinhood, you'll be part of the team that builds tools and automations that power Robinhood’s operational capabilities across the entire organization. By collaborating with a diverse range of operational teams, including Fraud Operations, Account Operations, and FinCrimes Operations, we create centralized case management platform, and solutions that enable operational efficiency by automating manual tasks.

What you’ll do

  1. Work closely with a dedicated mentor who will guide you through your co-op, from onboarding to making an impact at Robinhood, while deepening your understanding of our tech stack and the financial domain.
  2. Design, build, test, and release software solutions that meet stringent correctness and scalability requirements.
  3. Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist operational teams in triaging cases, improving accuracy, and reducing turnaround time.
  4. Partner with various cross-functional teams to solve critical problems across the Robinhood organization.
  5. Maintain and scale an existing codebase using technologies such as Python/Django and Go

What you bring

  1. Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Spring/Winter 2026.
  2. Strong CS fundamentals.
  3. Passion and interest in financial technology.
  4. Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or side projects.
  5. Familiarity with Python/Django or Go, and an understanding of relational databases and transactions.
  6. A passion for finance and a desire to learn more about the domain.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected hourly range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed.
