Summary
Design and build the critical entry point into our product; the onboarding and verification experience that every user must pass through before they can invest. You’ll work on the native iOS app, crafting seamless, high-trust user journeys that transform complex regulatory, compliance, and identity verification requirements into fast, intuitive flows. From sign-up to full account activation, you’ll help ensure users can join Bitpanda safely and effortlessly across multiple markets and regulatory regimes.
Our Onboarding & Verification team owns the entire lifecycle of user entry into the platform: account creation, personal data collection, AML checks, identity verification integrations, orchestration of onboarding steps, ongoing KYC refreshes, and regulatory flows. This is one of the most critical systems in the company; directly shaping conversion, trust, and compliance at scale.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-impact onboarding and verification features on iOS, collaborating closely with product, design, backend, and compliance teams to deliver smooth and compliant user journeys.
- Build and evolve complex flows such as registration, identity verification, AML questionnaires, and step-based onboarding orchestration, ensuring they feel simple and fast for users.
- Integrate and work with multiple identity verification providers (e.g. Sumsub, Onfido, Fourthline, SPID, Solaris, IDnow), handling edge cases, reliability, and fallback flows.
- Own your part of the onboarding experience end-to-end; improving conversion, reducing friction, and continuously refining performance, stability, and usability across all onboarding steps.
Who you are
- You care deeply about first impressions and understand that onboarding is where trust, compliance, and conversion all collide.
- You’re highly proficient in Swift with strong knowledge of iOS architecture, UIKit, SwiftUI, and building robust, production-grade applications.
- You have experience working with complex, multi-step flows and/or third-party SDK integrations in mobile apps.
- You think beyond screens; you care about systems, orchestration, edge cases, and how backend-driven flows translate into great user experiences.
- You take ownership seriously: you proactively simplify complexity, improve conversion flows, and raise the quality bar across everything you touch.
