What You’ll Do:

As our Head of Operations (Research), you'll be part of the team responsible for building, maintaining, measuring, and improving Blockworks’ overall execution, operations, and results. You’ll have a direct role in supporting the facilitation of our strategic planning process, leading and managing our most strategic projects, and designing and managing our operating system. You'll work hand-in-hand across our leadership teams to ensure all programs and work are aligned to and prioritized with our current strategy and successfully accomplished. Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:

  1. Build & Run our Operating System: In partnership with other team members, you’ll help design, implement, educate, and coach our overall operating system, ensuring our tools, technology, and culture are all aligned to facilitate accountability, transparency, and decision-making.
  2. Manage & Direct our Project Portfolio: You'll work cross-functionally with the team leader to scope, facilitate, monitor, and communicate the progress of key company projects, making sure we all stay aligned, informed, and on time.
  3. Monitor and Report Performance: You’ll work in collaboration with the leadership team to own the design, measurement, and reporting of performance metrics and key performance indicators (for team operations and Blockworks) for analysis and decision-making.
  4. Facilitate Communication and Engagement: You’ll facilitate collaboration and effective communication at every opportunity by working closely with leaders and teams to drive proactive updates and key messages to ensure stakeholders and team members are engaged and informed.
  5. Proactively Identify Workflow Improvements: You’ll ruthlessly identify and own areas of improvement across business processes and operations to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, improve outcomes, and optimize resources while ensuring solutions are scalable and well-documented.
  6. Leverage Technology to Improve Performance: You’ll work proactively to collaborate with leaders across Blockworks to identify, design, and implement solutions that help improve our ability to scale through automation and technology. You’ll help drive the evaluation, selection, implementation, and training of technology solutions used to support overall operations.

Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before:

You have demonstrated experience as an operations leader in a fast-moving organization with a strong desire to do it again. You have played a major role in helping a company scale its teams, processes, and products by getting your hands dirty in building, implementing, and iterating upon operational workflows. Along the way, you have:

  1. Been independently responsible for critical operational workflows and processes.
  2. Assisted in establishing and being accountable for key metrics across an organization.
  3. Proven experience as a previous program or cross-departmental project manager who builds and sustains strong relationships.
  4. Cultivated relationships and consistently communicated accurately, effectively, and authentically.
  5. Led the process of evaluating and understanding a business need and then documenting, assessing, selecting, and implementing new solutions to meet the needs of the business.

Salary, Benefits, & How We Work:

This is a full time exempt position with an expected salary of $165,000/year.
