Summary

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. You’ll be directly involved in daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial closings, working across both traditional and crypto-related transactions. While a significant portion of your work will focus on crypto accounting, some tasks will be more routine—but they are just as essential to keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

What you might be doing:

1. Preparing and managing general ledger entries
2. Perform account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct 
3. Monthly, quarterly and annual closures for all our entities in collaboration with external accounting firms 
4. Monthly intercompany accounts reconciliation
5. Reconciliation of accounts and analysis on a group level
6. Participation in the annual closings and audits for all the entities of the group
7. Helping to streamline and improve financial processes—your ideas matter!
8. Assisting with internal financial controls and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
9. Handling a mix of high-level accounting tasks and more routine responsibilities—not every task will be thrilling, but accuracy and consistency are key to financial integrity
10. Staying updated on best practices in both general and crypto accounting

What you might bring:

1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - or equivalent education and experience
2. 5+ years of accounting experience; crypto experience is ideal, but strong personal crypto knowledge plus relevant industry exposure (e.g., brokerage, trading, custody) is also welcome
3. Background in environments with internalised client trading, such as principal desks, market makers, OTC brokers, or FX platforms
4. Solid grasp of inventory valuation, trading P&L attribution, and reconciliation across execution, custody, and treasury layers
5. Familiarity with hedging strategies and their accounting treatment (e.g., tracking derivatives, realised/unrealised gains)
6. Experience managing intercompany and internal reconciliations, especially in multi-entity or multi-wallet setups
7. Understanding of asset safeguarding principles and best practices for separating and reporting user vs. proprietary assets
8. Proficiency in general ledger accounting and reconciliation
9. Experience with accounting software—Xero preferred
10. Python or SQL skills are a plus
11. Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus
12. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset—comfortable improving processes, solving problems, and working independently in a distributed team
