Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our media team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing both long-form and short-form videos for our YouTube channel and other social media platforms. You will be a key player in shaping our visual content and ensuring it is engaging, informative, and tailored to a crypto-savvy audience. An understanding of the cryptocurrency market and the ability to work with crypto-related tools (like exchanges, wallets, and trading interfaces) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and enhance video content, following scripts and creative direction.
- Assemble footage, audio, motion graphics, and effects to deliver polished content.
- Apply color correction, sound design, and seamless transitions.
- Collaborate closely with producers, researchers, and hosts to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Stay updated on YouTube trends, visual storytelling styles, and crypto-related news.
- Ensure all videos are optimized for YouTube and other platforms (thumbnails, hooks, pacing, metadata suggestions).
- Work with screen recordings from crypto platforms (e.g., Binance, Bybit) and integrate relevant visuals, charts, and walkthroughs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a solid portfolio.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Basic to advanced experience with After Effects for motion graphics.
- Ability to work independently with pre-recorded content and edit under time pressure.
- Understanding of the crypto market, trading platforms, and ability to adapt quickly to new tools or interfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with YouTube content strategies and audience engagement tactics.
Bonus Skills:
- Graphic design capabilities (e.g., for thumbnails or in-video elements).
- Understanding of YouTube SEO and analytics.
- Experience with social media editing (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Twitter video).
