Summary

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who can play a fundamental role within our team, and elevate Gelato!

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and operate Gelato infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment
2. Contribute to improve our incident management lifecycle for overall reliability
3. Contribute to improve our Postmortem philosophy
4. Contribute to improve our DevOps culture
5. Deploy and maintain Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS) core components and related observability stacks
6. Evaluate and modernize our existing infrastructure and deployment strategies to align with the latest industry standards
7. Maintain and enhance our CI/CD pipeline and its governance
8. Be on-call rotation to provide operational support and service availability
9. Participate and conduct regular team meetings
10. Provide insights and recommendations on system design and scalability, focusing on reliability, security and efficiency in a Web3 context
11. Be an active team member by always looking out for cost effective innovative solutions and by facilitating the adoption of industry standards

Requirements

1. At least 4 years experience in maintaining Cloud infrastructure with modern technologies
2. At least 1 year experience in maintaining Web3 related infrastructure.
3. GitOps principles at heart
4. Ability to lead and positively influence peers in decision-making process
5. Ability to maintain high performance and accuracy in rapidly changing and evolving work settings
6. Experience in operating infrastructure on at least one major Cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure..)
7. Experience with Docker and containerized applications
8. Experience with Unix based systems
9. Experience in operating and optimizing Kubernetes clusters
10. Experience with Git, Helm, Terraform, Kubectl and similar
11. Experience in networking, CDN, Gateways and deployment strategies
12. Experience in operating highly available infrastructure
13. Understanding of microservice based architecture and operations
14. Experience in advanced debugging, logging, monitoring and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog
15. Experience in implementing and maintaining cost optimized solutions
16. Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Go, Python, Rust, PHP, TypeScript) and demonstrate capabilities in software development
17. Understanding of the Web3 technologies and related challenges including Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS)
18. Eager to learn and grow professionally
