Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

1. Support multiple PR accounts and oversee day-to-day activities
2. Assist senior team in managing PR strategies, messaging and timelines
3. Write clear, concise press materials, including bios, fact sheets, media alerts, press releases, etc. 
4. Write coherent, pithy, newsworthy pitches with strategic story angles
5. Assist in delivery of PR goals for client campaigns 
6. Research and analyze industry trends and track competitor news
7. Identify strategic messaging, positioning and media placements for clients 
8. Report to executive team on results and internal team and client needs
9. Manage and help build media lists and editorial calendars 
10. Oversee and train juniors in briefing docs, press materials, monthly reports and high-level coverage reports for announcements 
11. Assist in new business meetings and proposals when needed

Qualifications:

1. PR agency experience preferred
2. Understanding and interest in blockchain technology is a must!
3. Excellent social skills
4. Excellent written and oral communication as well as editing skills
5. Ability to grasp high level concepts, skills and protocols and employ them with minimal supervision
6. Previous experience or PR internship is preferred 
7. Relationships with business and tech reporters; blockchain media is a plus
8. Impeccable client service and communication skills and ability to project client needs
9. Autonomous and also able to manage up 
10. Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
11. Detail-oriented with great follow up skills 
12. Proficiency using Google Search, Drive, working spreadsheets
13. BA/BS in communications, public relations, journalism, business or relevant field preferred 

Stipend-Based Internship a 150- hour internship to be performed over a 6 -12 week period: The internship is designed as an educational and experiential program that exposes the intern to a variety of aspects of daily work in a public relations agency environment. Intern acknowledges that the agency will be providing substantial training particularly in the early parts of the internship and that the stipend payment of $595 is to be made only upon successful completion of the entire internship.
