Job Description

As a Data Analyst focused on Web3, you'll play a pivotal role in monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting on-chain activity across major blockchains. You'll leverage APIs to extract real-time data, build dashboards, and generate reports that drive strategic decisions for our clients. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a passion for the evolving world of decentralized technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Track and analyze on-chain activity, including transactions, smart contract interactions, token movements, and wallet behaviors on platforms like Ethereum, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, and others.
2. Integrate and query data from blockchain APIs (e.g., Alchemy, Infura, Etherscan) to build comprehensive datasets for analysis.
3. Develop and maintain data pipelines for real-time monitoring of on-chain metrics, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
4. Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools or custom scripts to present insights to stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, product managers) to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in Web3 data.
6. Conduct ad-hoc analyses on blockchain events.
7. Ensure compliance with data privacy standards and best practices in handling sensitive blockchain information.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in Web3, fintech, or a data-intensive industry.
3. Proven experience tracking on-chain activity using tools like Dune Analytics, Chainalysis, or similar blockchain explorers.
4. Strong proficiency with APIs, including RESTful APIs for blockchain data retrieval and integration (experience with Web3.js or Ethers.js is a plus).
5. Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets; experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is beneficial.
6. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and scripting.
7. Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and tokenomics.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with big data tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) for handling high-volume on-chain data.
2. Knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive analytics on blockchain trends.
3. Prior work in DeFi, NFTs, or DAOs, with a portfolio of on-chain analysis projects.
4. Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
5. Passion for Web3 and staying updated on industry developments through communities like Discord, Twitter, or GitHub.
