Summary

Your role:

1. Design and deploy security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), endpoint protection platforms (EPP/EDR), Data Loss Prevention(DLP), User and Entity Behavior Analytics, and security information and event management (SIEM).
2. Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs for malicious activity or policy violations.
3. Conduct vulnerability assessments and lead remediation efforts across infrastructure and applications.
4. Work closely with DevOps, IT, and product teams to embed security into the system lifecycle.
5. Support incident response by investigating root causes, containing threats, and implementing lessons learned.
6. Maintain and harden systems using industry best practices (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST).
7. Automate security monitoring and response workflows using scripting languages and orchestration tools.
8. Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.

What makes you stand out:

1. 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or infrastructure security.
2. Strong knowledge of network protocols and Linux/Windows/macOS administration.
3. Experience with tools like Palo Alto, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Tenable, Snort.
4. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python).
5. Practical experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
6. Understanding of IAM, VPC, KMS, and cloud-native security tools (e.g., GuardDuty, Azure Defender).
7. Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI-DSS).
8. Ability to translate compliance requirements into technical implementations.
9. Nice to have: Certifications like CEH, GSEC, GCPN, GCIA, Security+, AWS Security Specialty.
10. Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
11. Clear communicator across both technical and non-technical audiences.
